Multidisciplinary 'green field' construction project in a pharmaceutical environment. Construction scope includes foundations, civil construction, steel, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, ... till completion. You act as Safety Manager within the framework of a EPCm assignment. Given the project size, you operate within a Construction Management Team and reports to the Construction Manager for functioning of the Safety, Health & Environmental program (SHE–program) at the construction site. Manages the delegated SHE responsibility of the Construction Manager. Has a proven experience in the set-up of high standard Safety Programs. Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls safety at the jobsite. Controls and coordinates all work permit applications. Reviews all incident / accident reports. Coordinates the investigation team to find the true reason for the occurrence and makes recommendations to prevent future occurrences. Analyzes site working conditions for potential hazards. Promotes good housekeeping on the job. Provides guidance to supervisors to ensure necessary protective aids are worn. Promotes contractor interest in weekly safety meetings. Coordinates to assure that all job accidents are given immediate attention and that medical facilities, equipment, suitable transportation, hospitals and doctors are arranged with plant first aid station, associated record keeping in accordance with regulatory agencies is maintained. Supervised preparation of jobsite safety program consistent with Client and local authorities requirements. Consult with Client and governmental agencies. Provides, maintains and continually updates site safety record bulletin boards. Provides statistical data and report as required. Approves incident and accident reports and expenditures. Approves accident prevention programs.
